Treefest is an opportunity to celebrate trees and environmental stewardship with an emphasis on the spectacular collection of trees on the Riverview lands. This year’s event will take place on SATURDAY, September 17th, from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Riverview Hospital Grounds located at 2601 Lougheed Highway in Coquitlam. Please note the CHANGE of DAY (made in order to avoid the Terry Fox Runs in the Tri-City area.
This year’s theme will be “The Healing Power of Trees”. Activities will include heritage walks and talks, community displays, live entertainment, a delicious Blackberry Tea in Finnie’s Garden, children’s activities, workshops by GardenWorks, tree tours, and exhibits from the local arts community. Food and beverage services will be provided on site as well as a Pocket Farmer’s Market.
This event runs from 11 am to 4 pm. Follow the banners on site to find the main celebration area.
